Hi, I’m Sophie, 24 years old and coming from a small city in Austria. I finished my apprenticeship as an orthopaedic technician in April 2021. After one year working and having a daily live I decided it's time to quit my job and start living :)
Workaway seems to be the perfect opportunity to meet new people and cultures while learning about animal care, the farm life, gardening and contributing my time in a meaningful way. I am naturally curious and always love to try new things. Be it sports like volleyball, climbing, snowboarding, kayaking, diving, surfing or playing instruments from the flute to the viola and guitar or experimenting with cooking and baking. I generally like to keep my hands busy and getting to know new people while being busy together. I am an easy going girl that adapts quickly and likes to tackle and overcome any challenges that may arise. I am looking forward to meeting you and having good times and lots of fun together.

I am a trained orthopaedic technician and know how to handle basic tools. I have built prosthetics, corsets and braces and will happily apply my knowledge elsewhere. I am not a big girl, but I am quite fit and sporty and able to carry out physically demanding work e.g. recently helping building a sauna and a pond in our backyard. I am used to being around animals and enjoy riding in my free time.
