We are setting up a permaculture homestead in Stanthorpe, Queensland and encourage people to come and learn with us. Exchange your work for accommodation and excellent food. Wifi use too. Tasks could include digging, cutting wood, weeding, clearing firebreaks, moving rocks, building walls, transplanting, painting, mulching, preserving, planting food and whatever else we are doing.. If you want to learn about or are interested in Permaculture, this is the place to come!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We have both lived and worked overseas and are from different cultures. Asian as well as western cuisine. Learn about life, learn about taking care of yourself and the environment. Learn about Permaculture!

    Help

Helpers should come for 1 week or more. We reserve the right to ask you to leave if you are not working well enough. We much prefer to take people with great references. We cannot cater for vegans as there is no such thing as vegan food, vegetarians are fine to apply.

    Accommodation

A few options - seperate guest room with single bed and 2 bunk beds (can be pushed together for a couple), caravan suitable for couple, van suitable for a couple - plenty of camping spots if you want to

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We often take helpers to other Permaculture related events (that's our social life mostly) and to National Parks for a walk and swim. We will pick you up from the bus stop. Crisps buses and New England Coaches service Stanthorpe.

Please give us a day to reply before requesting to others - there is no point us replying and you reply back to say someone else replied first! This is NOT people care... as it wastes our time. If you have a fully complete profile preferably with a good reference, and you write us a decent request, there is no reason for us to say 'no thanks' - we are usually able to fit in anyone who is offering great help.
