Description

I’m Simone, originally from Florence, Italy . I carry a mix of structure and curiosity: I like to build things, improve systems, and push myself physically and mentally.

I’ve spent years practicing kendo at a competitive level, representing Italy in international competitions. That experience shaped how I approach everything: consistency over motivation, attention to detail, and respect for the process. I’m not afraid of repetitive work, and I tend to take responsibility seriously — if I commit to something, I follow through.

Professionally, I’ve worked across different environments — from retail management to hospitality on river cruises — which means I’m comfortable both dealing with people and handling practical, hands-on tasks. I adapt quickly, I observe how things work, and I try to improve them rather than just “get through the day.”

Right now, I’m entering a very intentional phase of my life. I’m preparing for the next World Championships in kendo, and at the same time I want to reset and sharpen my focus. I’m interested in stepping away from constant stimulation and building a more disciplined, clear state of mind — what you could call a kind of modern “philosophical retreat,” ideally in nature.

Part of this journey is also about exposure. I want to meet people from different backgrounds, learn how they live, and understand different ways of thinking. I believe that this kind of experience — adapting to new environments, observing, listening, and contributing — is just as important as physical training in becoming stronger and more resilient.

Alongside this, I’m building an AI-focused creative project, so having access to WiFi is important for me to continue working and developing it during my stay.

I’m calm, respectful, and independent. I don’t need constant supervision, and I integrate easily into different environments without creating friction. At the same time, I value meaningful conversations and being around people who care about what they’re building.

If I had to summarize what I bring: reliability, discipline, curiosity, and a genuine willingness to contribute — not just to help, but to leave things better than I found them.

Through years of competitive kendo and consistent training, I’ve developed strong discipline, endurance, and attention to detail. I’m comfortable with repetitive tasks, manual work, and maintaining focus over long periods. I don’t shy away from effort, and I tend to approach even simple tasks with care and precision.

Hospitality & people skills
I’ve worked in hospitality on river cruises and in customer-facing roles, so I understand service, cleanliness, and how to interact respectfully with different types of people. I can help with hosting, cleaning, organizing spaces, and creating a pleasant environment for guests.

Organization & responsibility
With experience in retail management, I’m used to taking responsibility, managing tasks, and keeping things running efficiently. I notice what needs to be done and take initiative instead of waiting to be told.
