Greetings, dear fellow travellers! :)
My name's Simone, which in Italy is a boy name, to everyone's surprise all the time.
I've always been passionate about travelling, languages and cultures. I love getting to know new people and listen to their story.
Currently, I'm a permanent high-school teacher of English in the Italian region of Veneto -- I love my job, but every time I get some days off, I set off on some trip to any destination. I'm all about visiting new places, trying new food and meeting people, with whom I love sharing stories and experiences.
That's what I believe is the best part of being a World Dweller :)
One of the greatest experiences I've had in my whole life was living one year in Colombia, working for an NGO in Bogotá and having the chance of getting to know this amazing country and its wonders -- from the different cultures and foods to the breathtaking scenery. That year definitely changed my way of seeing life and me as a person.
The second best part of travelling , to me, is speaking languages -- to no one's surprise, this time!
I'm into learning as much as I can and always trying to step out of my comfort zone to get the best out of this life 🌞

I'm ready to do whatever is needed, to get my hands and feet in the mud. My father owns a plant nursery and when I was a teenager, I used to follow him around to gardens and street markets. Over the years, I've dealt with a few different jobs: from working with kids as a summer camp animator to being a greengrocer with my uncle. Also, I painted my apartment by myself and helped friends with their own homes.
I love cooking (and eating 😇).
