Description
Hey, my name is Shegame, currently I am in the last year of my studies of International Relations in Dresden, Germany and have the great opportunity to complete an internship in the International Conference Center in Arusha. I am deeply grateful to be able to visit Tanzania and would like to devote my time until Mid-February to the service of child care and education.
In addition to my academic training in International Relations, I am actively involved in charitable projects, such as supporting educational initiatives in Uganda or educational work against racism in Germany. I am moved by compassion, humanity, curiosity, and the will to contribute to a more just and equal world!
My time in Uganda (2022/23) particularly, where I was able to work with orphans and and teach at primary and secondary schools particularly touched me and highlighted the importance of promoting education and fighting for children rights to education and health. I firmly believe that education as a human right is the key to end poverty, hunger, inequalities and is crucial in building stable societies.
Besides traveling and learning languages, I enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities, biking and hiking , skiing and am always open to try something new.
I look forward to sharing my experiences and enthusiasm with other Workawayers and hosts, learning about new cultures and working together on projects that make a positive difference.Interests
