Hello Workaway Community!
Our names are Shea and Annie, and we are two young adults searching for an adventure abroad! Our travels are motivated by experiencing different ways of life, culture and exploring this wonderful planet. We truly love rural life and are keen to help as many authentic people as we can along the way. We find ourselves happiest when we are creating art and exploring nature, two things that greatly define who we are. Shea has many practical skills useful for helping both outdoors and Indoors. He has worked for both tiling and construction companies, as well as helped his father build a timber frame, straw bale house on their farm. He is used to handling sheep, chickens and dogs, as well as his three little brothers. Shea is competent for physical labour and generally picks task up quickly. He is used to an outdoors lifestyle and has lived in trailers, tents and unfinished basements, so he is not picky about accommodations! He is well versed in many hand and power tools and their safety requirements. Currently he teaches woodworking at a children’s art studio where he also helps run summer camps. Shea has many culinary skills and can be helpful in the kitchen as well as cleaning it. Altogether he is more than happy to do tasks asked of him and is a very easygoing person.

Annie’s greatest asset is her passion to learn and try new things. She runs her own sewing classes with students as young as four, and teaches them how to create imperfect garments. It is from these lessons, alongside her many hours of running process based camps, that her familiarity and comfortability with children really shines. She excels in cleaning and organizational tasks, after years of working within a children’s art studio. Every chance she gets outside of the art studio however, she can be found gardening, hiking, camping, or studying local agriculture. She loves to act, write plays, and create pieces of art that address current issues. Annie always has a great attitude, and will passionately pursue any task that comes her way.

Shea is a musician, he plays guitar and piano and would be happy to play with or for hosts and family :)
Shea loves ancient history and geography and loves to talk about it with others. He also loves board games with a passion and is happy to play any time of day! He is a true dog lover and also does archery in his spare time.

Annie is an artist, and loves to explore different facets of art. She loves to create and act in local plays, often appearing in any drama production she gets the opportunity to be apart of. She loves to dance, especially to Sheas music, and feels comfortable teaching the basic movements to certain dances. She also loves to paint with watercolour, and oil paint. Annie is your typical all around artist, and loves to create.
