Description
Hey, I’m Jan. I’m naturally curious and interested in almost everything—history, technology, business, people, and how the world works. I’m energetic, hardworking, and happiest when I can keep moving or dive into something engaging. (And yes, I love chess.)
I’m from Prague, Czech Republic. I enjoy being around animals, travelling, discovering new cultures, and meeting people with interesting perspectives. I studied mechanical engineering, but over time I focused mainly on project management, which shaped how I approach work and problem-solving.
Travel has played a big role in my life. I’ve spent time in Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Indonesia, and many European countries. One of my favourite experiences was New Zealand, where I enjoyed the freedom of vanlife and the nomadic mix of working in different places while exploring the country. That experience made me fall in love with slow travel. Since then, I’ve known that my future journeys should always include volunteering and contributing to the local place I’m calling “home” for a while. -
