About Me
Hi, I’m Julia, a 30-year-old traveler with a passion for meaningful connections, learning, and living in harmony with nature. Most of the time, you’ll find me adventuring in my camper van, either solo or with my good friend—though he’s often busy as a head of kitchen back in Cologne.

After working for a scientific journal, I discovered my interest in ecological gardening and permaculture. Over the past two years, I’ve gained practical experience by contributing to various projects, and I’m eager to expand my knowledge and skills even further.

My Motivation
I dream of living in a community where people share resources, ideas, and a vision for a sustainable future. That’s why I’m here on Workaway—to explore how different international projects are structured and to learn from the incredible people behind them.

I’m particularly interested in gaining hands-on experience in anything that will bring me closer to a self-sufficient and responsible lifestyle, whether that’s growing food, building eco-friendly infrastructure, or learning traditional crafts. Meeting inspiring people and hearing their perspectives on life is one of the most rewarding parts of this journey for me.

What Brings Me Happiness
Good food, good company, and good weather—when all three come together, I’m at my happiest! I also find joy in working outdoors, sharing meals with others, and discovering new ways to connect with nature and people.

Ecological Farming Experience: I have two years of hands-on experience working at ecological farms around Cologne, where I gained a solid understanding of sustainable farming practices and community living.

Permaculture Knowledge: I’m well-versed in permacultural methods, including designing and maintaining sustainable systems for food production and biodiversity.

Craftsmanship: Skilled in practical, hands-on work, I enjoy building, fixing, and creating, making me a valuable asset for projects involving manual labor or DIY tasks.

Animal Care: I’m used to working with and caring for animals, from feeding and grooming to maintaining their living environments.

Languages: I speak German and English fluently and would love to refresh my Spanish or French skills. I enjoy using language as a way to connect with people from different backgrounds.
