Description

I travelled around Europe a good deal when I was a student and worked in southern Italy and Crete. Now that I am retired from the NHS and the Royal Mail I would like to travel more and learn about other cultures. I stayed with a friend in Orgiva,southern Spain and I would like to go back there. I enjoy meeting new people and hopefully they can benefit from my years of experience renovating properties and maintaining gardens.

I have renovated old properties for many years and have some basic skills in construction, plumbing, electrics, and painting & decorating. I have also worked on building sites in the UK and have felled and lopped trees as well as maintaining gardens and lawns. I have a driving licence and used to drive delivery vans around London. I am very fit for my age and used to be a postman walking several miles every day. I enjoy swimming and snorkeling and I am a qualified scuba diver (BSAC Sports Diver). I have also worked in hospitality as a barman and waiter. I enjoy cooking and I'm keen to increase my repertoire and signature dishes, especially vegetarian.
