Hello! I'm a filmmaker, storyteller, writer, and former academic with a lot of travel and experience living abroad between the UK, Europe, the Caucasus, and Middle East. I'm passionate about creativity and connection, and also learning new skills as I go along.

Originally, I'm from Texas. At 27, I moved to Turkey and taught English before doing a master's in Budapest, which also took me to Yerevan, Armenia and expanded my travels to France, the Netherlands, and Austria - where I learned to play a Turkish folk instrument (baglama). After the Pandemic, I started a PhD between the UK and Germany, and helped to start a nightclub in Scotland. Even during the PhD, I spent time in Georgia and enjoyed their beautiful wine/food.

I've found genuine joy in all my travels - full of light and dark. I love sharing stories from the many lives people have lived and write about them in stories and, hopefully soon, screenplays. Some of my favorite things are regular meditation, cooking, reading, learning new skills, taking photos/videos, and working on new creative projects (whether building or other arts). Can't wait to learn more from you and your journeys.

More details about my language interests
I'd like to learn more about Persian, as although I have some background I do want to deepen my knowledge in the language. I've also learned Arabic previously and would like to revive that. Otherwise, I love to learn phrases and words in languages wherever I go - try to engage with people as best I can.

Marketing: I've previously worked as a marketing director, planned and implemented campaigns (short- and long-term) for different companies and projects. The important thing for me is to connect and be involved in the process and offer a creative vision which is made together with the people involved. Primarily, I can offer photography and videography (including editing) for you to show what you offer to all walks of life!

Crafting/woodwork/Building/Renovation: I've been working with making things since I was a small child, and grew up with a lot of time spent on making ideas come to life in physical form. Part of this was in a workshop with many types of tools from hammers and screwdrivers to larger wood cutting saws - and I'm always eager to learn more. I love being a handy person. If you have any tools and want help with DIY, woodworking, or other crafts - I'd love be there.

Administrative/Reception: For years I also worked a number of jobs which admin and good hosting skills were key. I've got good communication skills and care deeply about making sure someone feels welcome and informed about where they are, answering what they need, and being available to getting someone familiar with a place or job.

Cooking: There's something meditative about cooking for me and I love being in a kitchen. If I'm cooking for a group, I like getting creative with a keen eye considering everyone's diet.

Overall, in all the work I've done the key thing is maintaining a positive, open mindset which invites people into sharing. Problem solving is also a key characteristic for me that goes hand-in-hand with being flexible to changing circumstances. I'm comfortable getting my hands dirty just as much as doing more mental work - all for the betterment of whatever I'm doing!
