Activities i am interested in:
Planning to start my Mongolia trip in July with no fixed plans. I love hiking, camping, hitchhiking, exploring nature, meeting people, and sketching along the way. Open to all adventures!
My next destination:
China - from Sep 2025 until Sep 2025 View allDescription
Hello! I'm Sakura - half Japanese, half Nigerian, born and raised in Japan.
I've been traveling the world with just my backpack, curiosity, and an open heart.
Along the way, I've volunteered as a youth worker in a remote Aboriginal community in Australia (for about 10 months), worked as a tour guide assistant and cooked meals for the customers, cleaned Airbbs, helped in restaurants, and even sold my art on the street when I ran out of money😂
I also spent time volunteering on an animal farm, taking care of puppies and other animals. I really enjoyed making sure they were clean, safe, and loved — it was both healing and fulfilling.
I love working with children — it's been a dream of mine since I was little — and I care deeply about education, mental wellbeing, and creating safe, joyful spaces!
I'm passionate about nature, cooking, animals, and anything creative. I enjoy painting, basket weaving (which | learned from local women in the outback), and trying out traditional crafts wherever I go.
I'm clean, respectful, responsible, and easygoing. I'm always happy to help out, learn something new, or simply share time, meals, and stories with others.
I've met so many kind people on my journey
- and I'm always looking for ways to give back, grow, and connect😌Interests

Yes, both! I've volunteered teaching Japanese to children from immigrant families in Japan, and I love using language as a way to connect and support others. While traveling, I also enjoy writing people's names in Japanese kanji as a way to share my culture. I'm always happy to help people learn Japanese — and l'd also love to keep learning new languages, even just simple words and phrases. Language is such a beautiful window into someone's world!Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn
