Looking to work on a farm in rural Scotland as a chance to break out of the rat race of London, connect with new people, build new skills and gain new experiences.
-
Description
Two Aussie mates (both 23yo females) currently living in London on the Youth Mobility Visa. We are passionate and bubbly and keen to leave the big city and spend a couple months reconnecting with ourselves, with nature, and hopefully making new friends!
We are keen to find a farm (ideally in rural Scotland) where we can work hard, gain new skills, spread some joy and have new experiences we might not otherwise have the opportunity to! -

More details about your skills
As two young, energetic, and well travelled Aussies, we are always excited to tackle new experiences and learn new skills across the globe, connecting easily with people from all cultures and aiming to spread our positivity and bring joy to those around us!
Both huge animal lovers, growing up with cats, dogs, fish, bunnies, and now pet sitting regularly (as we really do miss having pets around the house!)
Em works as a Teacher's Assistant at a primary school and loves working with kids, babysitting and coaching youth netball in her free time. An avid and keen fundraiser, she has been actively involved with organising fundraising events for chairties and sporting clubs.
Sach works in operations for a recruitment company, with strong administrative and client facing skills. She has a strong love of volunteering having been a bush firefighter and supported a sailing charity, taking out children with disabilities on the water in Sydney, Australia.
Having backpacked, hiked, camped through Australia and across Europe, we are not afraid of (and enjoy) getting dirty, relying on limited equipment, and find solutions for all types of problems whilst outdoors and in unfamiliar settings.
We are super handy and in an effort to be more envuironmentally friendly, we are always trying to fix what's broken; sewing ripped clothes back together, mending broken furniture, fixtures and other odds and ends around our flat.
We really enjoy cooking, and are pushing ourselves to try new recipes and share food from our cultures with each other. And are very diligent with making sure we clean as we go and have become very tidy since living together.
With hospitality, admin, management, and education as our career backgrounds, we are quick problem solvers and really value connecting with people from all walks of life. Having to be effective communicators, we've really learnt to love talking to new people and hearing their stories.
With a mish mash of skills across the both of us, we are excited to pick up more hands-on skills, get to know our hosts, and get the jobs done whilst we share a laugh! -
