Description
After hiking in Abruzzo a few years ago, I fell in love with Italy and have traveled there about 20 times in recent years, from north to south, east to west. I am originally from Germany/Berlin and am now spending a gap year in Italy to improve my Italian (currently at level B2 :-) ), get to know Italian culture, and do a bit of outdoor climbing.
I am also looking for more beauty in my life, which means more nature, beautiful scenery around me, and being outside in the sun.
Having worked on farms and with workaway for a total of 12 months (Workaway, Woofing, Demeter), I can help with all kinds of outdoor/physical/manual work, including working with animals (dogs, cats, horses, goats, cows, etc.). I know how to use large and small machinery (small tractors, brush cutters, chainsaws, Frullino, etc.), I can also work in the garden, and I have basic DIY skills. I am also interested in learning new things when it comes to working with my hands, building things, etc.
What else?
I am a very curious person when it comes to other people, their lives, and their thoughts, so I enjoy spending time talking to others, no matter where that may be—at home, in a café, or in a pub.
I am a friendly, open-minded, and thoughtful person, and I am always on the go (preferably biking, hiking or climbing), but I also enjoy quiet moments with a book or playing the piano.
I´ve studied philosophy and history, but my last work was in the pharmaceutical sector monitoring clinical trials at hospitals for market approval of medication throughout Germany.
