We are currently

Description

We are very young minded individuals who love travelling the world. We enjoy tremendously the simple things in life. People, cultures, new experiences etc. We have recently finished a six week tour following the Portugese Camino de Santiago and part of the Jacobsweg in Spain up to the Picos de Europa mountains... amazing experiences! We have travelled through many areas around the World including middle and South America, India, Himalayas and Nepal, Asia and and and... We always loved travelling with absolute basics, hiking and using a backpack so as to enjoy the closer contact with the 'normal' everyday life led by the local populations.
I (Roger) am still working (athough I am retired) and happily, am able to work online from anywhere in the world. We are renovating/ re-building the property which is where we call home and over the years have collected many useful skills. We are also keen gardening enthusiasts and love designing and creating something which lasts. We are both huge animal lovers and enjoy very much working with and being around animals of all sorts. Ela in particular has a weak-spot for stray dogs and actively supports a project in India... No dog is safe from her love and compassion for animals in need! There is of course much more to tell and would probably need a book to talk about richly fulfillingly led lives.

I (Roger) can offer a wide range of skills. From gardening to renovating a complete house and don't mind getting my hands dirty. You could say I am a real jack of all trades! I studied European 'Marketing' Economics at university in the UK and went on to work for Multinational Business organisations in the UK, Europe, and USA.... more recently my business background has led to giving workshops and seminars on business and cultural topics in many leading German organisations. In addition to this I am fluent in German and English whilst having a fluent understanding of Dutch... just that my oral skills have become a little rusty. While travelling it was so rewarding to help underpriveleged children to aquire these language skills in charitable schools and private organisations who needed volunteer workers to help out.
Ela meanwhile, has excellent people leadership qualities whilst building a solid career in different fileds. More recently she has been involved in managing real estate projects whilst organising and supporting the renovations and interior design of the projects from A-Z.
Ela also has a unique way of working with animals and has aquired many skills and knowledge along the way.

What else ...

We are a keen sports enthusiasts and have many interests. Cross country ski-ing, scuba - diving, Cimbing (klettersteigen!), Hiking (also long distance hiking!) Travel, amongst others... We also sometimes just like to relax, watch a movie, read books, play cards (Roger is a Bridge fan!) and generally socialize by meeting other people. Roger has an insatiable apetite for learning and understanding new skills whilst at the same time passing on his own knowledge to others who are interested. Ela loves to be around animals of all kinds and none are safe from her kind and loving attention.
