Description

We are Pauline (25) and Yann (27), a cheerful French couple arriving in Sydney in February 2026. After five intense years working in events and marketing for big companies, we are trading our office suits for sneakers and surfboards to experience the real Australia. We aren’t just looking for a place to stay, we are looking to live locally, share stories, and make ourselves genuinely useful.

We are a very active duo. We run together frequently and love being outdoors, so we are definitely not afraid of physical work. We pride ourselves on being resourceful and independent ("débrouillards" as we say in French!). Whether it is painting a fence, general maintenance, gardening, or fixing small things around the house, we are happy to roll up our sleeves and get the job done. We learn fast and we actually enjoy seeing the result of our hard work.

On the animal side, we are a complete team. Pauline has 15 years of horse riding experience and has grown up with dogs, so she is very comfortable with farm life and animal care. Yann is a lifelong cat lover and great with active dogs too. Beyond manual work, since we come from marketing backgrounds, we can also give you a hand with your social media or photography if you have a small business or a project to promote.

We are easy-going, non-smokers, and very respectful of personal space. We love the idea of sharing a good meal (we can cook French food!) and contributing to your daily life with good energy and a smile.

Physical Fitness & Outdoor Work : We are a very athletic couple with plenty of energy to burn. Yann is passionate about football and surfing, and we both play tennis and run regularly. This active lifestyle means we are physically fit and capable of handling demanding tasks like landscaping, gardening, carrying heavy loads, or long days on a farm without any issues.

Animal Care : Our fitness is also great for your pets! We love taking energetic dogs for long runs or hikes. Beyond that, Pauline has 15 years of horse riding experience, making her fully autonomous with horses and farm animals. Yann grew up with cats and knows how to care for them perfectly.

Handy & Resourceful : We pride ourselves on being "débrouillards" (resourceful). We are happy to help with general property maintenance, painting fences, fixing small things around the house, or cleaning. We learn fast and enjoy being useful.

Digital & Marketing : With our backgrounds in events and marketing, we can also help you with less physical tasks: managing social media, photography, creating flyers, or general computer organization.

Driving : We both hold a full driving license and are confident drivers.

What else ...

Photography & Drone (Yann’s passion) : Yann is a keen photographer and travels with his drone. We love documenting our trip, but this can be great for you too! We would be more than happy to take stunning aerial shots or videos of your property, your animals, or your family. Whether it’s for your own memories or to help promote your farm/business on social media, we can create high-quality images for you.

Board Games Warning: we can get a little competitive! We are huge fans of strategy games (like Catan) and we always travel with a deck of cards. If you have board games at home, count us in for game night!

Food & "Apéro" : Being French, food is our religion. We make a great Quiche Lorraine and we love organizing "Apéro" (drinks and snacks) at sunset. That being said, we are dying to learn the art of the proper Aussie BBQ, teach us your secrets!

Downtime : When we aren't surfing or running, we are avid podcast listeners (true crime, history, business) and big readers. We are just as happy chatting around a fire as we are enjoying a quiet evening with a book.
