  • Description

    Hello et Bonjour,
We are two young professionals and students from England. Coming from a small village in the English countryside, Olly recently graduated from a Degree Apprenticeship and Ennis is completing his Economics Degree in Leicester. Following years of helping family, friends, and multiple different jobs each, we are both dependable, autonomous and cheerful to work alongside, especially outdoors! We would love to have the opportunity to support you and help at your home, look after pets/animals, arts and crafts and any other endeavours whilst learning more about your culture. It would be even better if Olly could continue to improve his competence in French (after self-studying for nearly two years), and Ennis to start his French language journey with a native!

After growing up in the countryside and working many jobs from hospitality, animal care, construction, procurement, project management and real estate, we can be depended on for hard-work and taking pride in helping you and looking after what you care about.

It would be our pleasure to call your home our home this summer.

I have been learning and taking classes in french for 2 years and would love to grow my confidence, vocabulary and grammar whilst learning more about the french culture. Formal classes or lessons are not needed but of course any time or patience you can offer whilst I help in your home would be greatly appreciated.

Olly - Hi there! I grew up on a small farm, surrounded by animals (dogs, chickens, sheep, horses) and was responsible from an early age with their care as well as using machinery to ensure the upkeep of the smallholding. I also spent my school holidays from the ages of 15-18 labouring with my dad in construction, which involved anything from digger driving to painting to carpentry, in order to save up for my first car and travelling abroad. I learnt the basic skills of many trades but mainly learnt the importance of perseverance and determination to complete a job until the end.
Since then I have completed an apprenticeship and degree in business management where I have been given large responsibilities in many different fields and began learning and taking classes in French 2 years ago and now use this on a daily basis as I work with my colleagues in Paris. Since moving to London earlier this year, I have begun volunteering at a local church to help improve and maintain their gardens and helping set-up and run events for use in the community.
Ennis - Hi, my name is Ennis. I grew up in a rural village in England and have always been interested in the outdoors and crafts. During school holidays, I worked on a farm, helping out with day-to-day duties. I’ve had experience in a variety of tough jobs, including farm work and warehouse roles. I’m very enthusiastic about new experiences and am constantly seeking opportunities to learn new things. I’m a 22-year-old mature student studying BSc Economics and Data Analytics at the University of Leicester School of Business. I’ve recently decided to start learning French and have enrolled in a part-time language course at my university, which begins in September. Over the summer, I hope to develop a strong foundation in the language. Lastly, I have also begun labouring on a construction site after finishing my university exams for this year to learn more practical skills and save money.
