Description
Hi there!
I'm Oliver, and I’ve been travelling a lot since January 2025, when my flight from Prague to Manchester got cancelled. I ended up doing the journey overland instead, and that unexpected trip pretty much kicked off my love for adventure.
Since then, I’ve visited a mix of popular places (like Vietnam and Colorado) and not so popular ones (like Ukraine and Transnistria), and I’ve loved every second of it. I really enjoy learning how people live in different parts of the world and picking up new skills along the way, especially things that make me a bit more self-reliant.
After leaving my full-time job to explore the world while freelancing online, I’ve gone from having no freedom and plenty of money to having all the freedom and almost no money, and honestly, I wouldn’t trade it back. So now I’d love to volunteer, meet people, learn even more, and lend a hand wherever I can.
Cheers!

More details about your skills
I go to the gym regularly, so I’m not shy of any physical work, I actually enjoy getting stuck in and staying active!
Professionally, I’ve got around three years of experience in web development, plus a diploma in digital marketing. My last full-time role was as an Ecommerce Executive, so I’m also happy to help out with anything business-related; websites, marketing, or general development advice.
That said, my best quality is probably my drive. I’ve pushed through some tough situations and come out smiling (at least once it’s all over!). Whatever the job is, I’ll give it my full effort and see it through to the end.

What else ...
I nearly beat a Ukrainian grandfather in chess once, so I like to think I’m at least half-decent at it.
I absolutely love nature and everything that comes with it - clean eating, animals, fresh air, and working outdoors. My long term dream is to be a homesteader and live as self sufficiently as possible, without relying on supermarkets or national power grids.
I’ve also always wanted to cut down a tree (in a sustainable way, of course), there’s just something satisfying about doing things with your own hands and learning how to live off the land.
Oh and if you can teach me how to get better at cooking I'd love that!
