Hi, I'm Yannick! And currently i'm traveling through Latin- and Southamerica with my partner. We're not in a rush and would call ourselves slow travellers.

I'm open-minded and love discovering new cultures, customs, and people. I enjoy stepping outside my comfort zone — for the sake of growth and new experiences.

Language: My mother tongue is Swiss-German (German Accent..), but I speak German and English fluently. I learnt French in School but it is rusty and very basic. Currently I'm learning Spanish to have a decent conversation in the next weeks/months!

At my everyday life I worked in the private label sector for consumer electronics products for a big company. So most of my time, I spent working on the computer, but I’m at a point where I enjoy spending time offline and finding out what life behind the screen can bring.

I'm really intrigued to try new things and challenge myself on workaway - that's why I made an account!
I have a hands-on approach, learn new techniques and methods quickly and eagerly, and am not afraid of getting my hands dirty with hard work.

My area of expertise is primarily tech-savy things like; computers, related network (routers, switches) and software-handling (bit of a nerd).

But during my community service (over 11 years), I performed a wide range of other tasks: gardening (path restoration, plant care, etc.), cleaning buildings and outdoor areas (washer pressure, general maintanance), and general household repairs (fixing doors, cabinets, painting, fixing basic electronic devices). I also gained diverse experience working with people with disabilities/or autism/on the spectrum and the elderly (maneuvering wheelchairs, engaging in conversation, cooking or providing daily living support, etc.).
