Namaste!
I'm Nida, a soulful traveler and explorer who loves connecting with people, discovering new cultures and contributing meaningfully wherever I go. By profession, I’m an Architect, but beyond that, I’m a curious soul who thrives on creative experiences and learning from the world around me. I have volunteered in Northern India mainly in Spiti Valley running a cozy cafeteria in a cold desert and running a backpackers hostel in Ladakh. My recent volunteering experience includes the Rainforest Conservation Project in Sri Lanka, volunteering in a pizzeria in the mountains of Kazakhstan, doing wall art and general upkeep in a backpackers hostel in Kyrgyzstan and teaching English in a public school in Uzbekistan which has made me more aligned towards traveling with a cause.
What I Bring to the Table:
Creative & Practical Skills: With experience in architecture and design, I enjoy helping with creative projects, organizing spaces, and even creating art or decor that reflects local culture.
Hands-On Help: I’m no stranger to rolling up my sleeves—whether it’s assisting in construction, painting murals, or gardening and conservation, I love being part of hands-on projects.
Open-Minded & Adaptable: Traveling has taught me to embrace challenges, appreciate differences, and blend into new environments with ease.
Why I’m Here
Travel, for me, is about more than just seeing new places—it’s about building connections, learning from diverse communities, and leaving a positive impact wherever I can. Through Workaway, I hope to share my skills while experiencing local life in the most authentic way possible.
