Description
Nicole:
During my Master’s in Psychology I spent a year in California, where I discovered surfing – and instantly fell in love with it. Since then, surfing has taken me to places like Hawaii and later on to Costa Rica, where I also got to know many Workawayers and first learned about the concept. I loved the idea straight away!
I’m a very open and communicative person who enjoys yoga, meditation, and simply spending time outdoors. I also have a big heart for animals and live as a vegetarian, so being in nature and around animals makes me feel really at home. What makes me happiest is meeting people from different backgrounds, sharing experiences and learning from each other – and that’s exactly why Workaway excites me so much.
Oleksandr:
I’m motivated by my hunger for adventure and my dream to travel, discover new cultures, and learn traditional cooking from around the world. I love meeting people, exchanging experiences, and learning something new every day.
What makes me happiest is discovering new places, growing through challenges, and feeling the satisfaction of completed work. -

More details about your skills
Nicole:
I am a trained psychologist and currently work in crisis counselling with children and teenagers. Supporting young people through challenging situations has shown me how much I love helping others and spending time with kids and teens in a positive, uplifting way. Creativity is also important to me — I enjoy arts and painting, and I find a lot of joy in expressing myself through creative activities. I have a big heart for animals and experience in caring for horses, dogs, cats, and other animals. Being around them and contributing to their well-being makes me happy and grounded. As a person, I’m communicative, a good listener, and joyful to be around. I love creating a supportive, positive atmosphere and working together with others in a way that brings out the best in everyone :).
Oleksandr:
I grew up spending a lot of time in the countryside, where I learned how to help on a farm and in a garden. I have experience with planting, harvesting, and taking care of animals such as cows, ducks, chickens, and dogs. I’ve also worked on construction projects — preparing and painting walls, doing small repairs, and helping with renovation work. I enjoy working with my hands and always do my tasks carefully and responsibly.Cooking is another big passion of mine, and I love learning new recipes and preparing meals for others. Besides that, I have experience volunteering in orphanages and was one of the organizers of a youth camp, where I helped plan activities and work with children and teenagers. These experiences taught me patience, creativity, and good communication skills. -
