Description
I’m a curious mix of adventurer and quiet thinker. The kind of person who can hike 15 km alone reflecting on life — and the next day sign up for a volunteer expedition on the other side of the world.
I grew up in Russia and have lived in the Austrian Alps for the past 11 years. Mountains shaped me: they taught me resilience, humility, and the beauty of slow progress. I work hard, adapt quickly, and genuinely enjoy being useful. I’ve worked at an airport, in hospitality, and I’m not afraid of physical tasks — I actually love feeling tired after a good day of meaningful work.
I have a degree in journalism and over 10 years of experience working as a graphic designer, so I bring creativity, visual thinking, and good communication skills. I speak Russian, English, and German, and I’m deeply interested in cultures, languages, and the way communities live and grow.
I care about sustainable development, responsible tourism, and cultural respect. I believe travel should connect, not consume. My goal is to build a life that combines diplomacy, environmental awareness, and cross-cultural understanding — but most importantly, to stay human, open, and grounded.
In my free time, I photograph nature, do sports, read a wide variety of books, and enjoy creative activities.
I’m new to Workaway, but not new to stepping outside my comfort zone. I learn fast, listen carefully, and always show up with respect and positive energy. I’m independent yet easy to live with, thoughtful but practical.
If you’re looking for someone reliable, reflective, and genuinely interested in people and place — I’d love to connect 🌿 -

More details about your skills
I bring both practical skills and a creative mindset.
For over 10 years I’ve worked as a graphic designer, so I can support with visual content, photography, social media, branding, or any creative tasks that help your project grow and look beautiful. I genuinely enjoy turning ideas into something tangible and meaningful.
Through my experience working at an airport and in hospitality, I learned responsibility, flexibility, and how to be reliable in different situations. I’m organized, attentive, and I take commitments seriously.
I’m physically active and enjoy hands-on work, especially outdoors. I would truly love to learn more about gardening, farming, and sustainable ways of living. Being close to nature feels grounding to me, and I’m very happy to help with projects that support the land, animals, or local communities. I don’t see it just as “work” — I see it as exchange and shared experience.
I learn quickly, adapt easily, and approach new tasks with curiosity and respect. I speak Russian, English, and German, and I value open, kind communication. -
