  • Description

    Hi there,

my name is Nadine, born and raised in the beautiful east of Germany (Usually I don't mention the little town I grew up in, but mention Leipzig and Berlin - because in-between those two you will find Lutherstadt Wittenberg). Since I left school and spent my first year abroad (Tenerife, Spain), I got this disease called Wanderlust. Travelling made me become the person I am today. I'm open-minded, self-confident, trustworthy and a good story-teller.

I studied in UK, worked as an Au Pair in Tenerife, worked in tourism in Barcelona, Tenerife and worldwide on a cruise ship. I travelled so much that I can bring the world to your home if you want. I love to share travel advice - and often people reach out to me to get some. I spent most of the past 5 years in New Zealand - and I'm currently in Australia. Even though I'm in Melbourne, I'm open to travel (also fly) for the right project. I'm a slow traveller, thus I prefer staying longer in a place - but also happy to help out short term - and last minute.

I bring a can-do mentality and eye-for-detail to everything I do. I worked as an event manager back in Germany and these skills helped me a lot to navigate the ups and downs of a this job.

I have been working and living as a digital nomad for the past 5 years and focus on podcast productions for female podcast hosts. I'm happy to teach you audio editing, and set up your podcast if needed. While working online I did lots of volunteering and work in exchange for accomodation - mainly in hostels.

I use Workaway since I appreciate a cultural exchange - the more I travelled the more it changed from seeing sights to seeing people through deep and meaningful conversations.

I love animals and happy to sit your home and pet if needed. Even though I haven't had the chance to ride a horse in many years, I'm keen to get back on a horse back and help out looking after your horses. One of my workaways experiences was looking after race horses in Hastings, New Zealand.

Please reach out in case you need more information.

  • More details about your skills

I worked in hotels/on cruise ships and in holiday rentals - so you can count on broad customer skills, attention to detail and in general a good knowledge of people. I'm happy to support you in your hotel, hostel, retreat centre etc. - housekeeping, reception, cleaning, customer service

I also did a lot of gardending and dog sitting/walking.

I grew up riding horses and sitting pets. I'm happy to work on farms, ie. cow/cattle/sheep/horses.

  • What else ...

Next to travelling New Zealand, I work as a Virtual Assistant for clients from Germany. Virtual Assistant means I support business remotely and online in their projects. This business is online-based - however, requires a stable Internet connection. Thus, I prefer working in places that offer free Wifi (on a regular basis, I do Digital Detox and treat myself with a few days or sometimes even weeks without any Internet access at all - thus I might in some cases be available to work in remote/off the grid locations). Please don't be scared - and don't think I spend my days in front of the screen only - usually I only work a few hours per week.
