  • Description

We are Andrea and Ana, a couple who love living in a simple and conscious way. We enjoy spending time in nature, meeting people from different backgrounds, discovering new cultures, and learning from different ways of living. For us, travelling is not just about visiting places, but more about connecting with local people, sharing everyday life, and learning something from every experience.

I’m Andrea. I studied Physiotherapy and worked as a physiotherapist in Italy for seven years. At one point I felt it was time for a change, so I left my job and started travelling. During those years around Asia, Australia, and Europe, I discovered my passion for bodywork through Thai Massage, Zenthai Shiatsu, and Hatha Yoga. Since 2021, Zenthai Shiatsu has become both my passion and my work. I now offer treatments, workshops, and trainings, creating spaces where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and simply feel supported. I speak Italian and English fluently.

I’m Ana, I have a background in Tourism and explored different roles across tourism, hospitality, events, and customer service. More recently, I worked as a Greenskeeper at a golf course in Switzerland, where I discovered how much I enjoy practical, hands-on work and being outdoors. I love learning new things, picking up new skills, staying active, and helping wherever I can. Curious by nature, I’m responsible, kind and open-minded, always bringing a calm, positive attitude to the people around me. I speak Portuguese and English fluently, French (intermediate), and Spanish (beginner)

We're easy-going, respectful, and reliable. We enjoy practical work and don't mind getting our hands dirty. Whether it's gardening, building, painting, cleaning, looking after animals, cooking, or helping with guests, we're always happy to contribute. We see Workaway as much more than a place to stay. For us, it's a chance to meet inspiring people, share experiences, learn from each other, and become part of a community, even if it's only for a short time.

    ANA:
I particularly enjoy coordinating projects and supporting the work behind the scenes. Planning, keeping things organised, communicating with different people, and making sure everything comes together are the kind of tasks I naturally enjoy.

Through my experience in tourism, events, and hospitality, I've developed strong organisational skills and learned to manage priorities, coordinate logistics and teams, and keep things running smoothly, even in busy, fast-paced environments.

I'm confident with administrative and back-office work, comfortable using different digital tools, and I learn new systems quickly. Whether it's welcoming guests, scheduling, communication, documentation, or day-to-day administration, I'm always happy to support wherever needed.

At the same time, I also enjoy practical, hands-on work. Working as a Greenskeeper showed me how much I enjoy being outdoors and caring for green spaces. I'm equally happy helping with gardening, agriculture, maintenance, or other physical tasks that keep me active.

I'm organised, communicative, and I stay calm under pressure. I enjoy learning new skills and adapting to new ways of working. I believe the best work comes from being dependable, observant, and willing to help wherever needed.

I'm the kind of person who notices what needs to be done, enjoys finding practical solutions, and takes pride in completing tasks carefully and efficiently while contributing to a positive, peaceful and well-organised environment.

    ANDREA:
Working as a physiotherapist has taught me how to care for both elderly people and children with physical, neurological, and developmental conditions. It has strengthened my empathy, patience, and ability to adapt to different situations.

I have facilitated movement-based workshops and taken part in organising wellness retreats, where I enjoyed supporting participants and creating a welcoming environment.

I love cooking and helping in the kitchen, and I'm always happy to assist with hospitality and make guests feel welcome. I consider myself a responsible, reliable, and committed person who enjoys learning new skills, taking initiative, and thriving in new environments.
