Description
Hi! I’m Moisés, a 21 year old Mexican traveler.
I started cycling from Mexico all the way down to South America, pedaled my way to Costa Rica and gifted my bicycle to a traveler Currently hitchhiking through Panama and heading soon to South America.
Along the way, I’ve been doing all kinds of volunteer work in different towns and cities, from eco-construction, regenerative agriculture , animal shelters, bartending, barista, receptionist, to housesitting and even managing a surf shop for a month on the Mexican coast. I enjoy helping out wherever I can, adapting to new environments, and working as part of a team.
I’m a very open and friendly person, and what truly motivates me on this journey is the chance to find myself, to keep learning, and to connect with the amazing people and cultures that make this world so special. Traveling has taught me to live simply, appreciate the little things, and share from the heart.
I speak Spanish (native), fluent English and German, and I’m currently learning French and Portuguese . I have lots of experience volunteering in a variety of roles — physical and creative — and I’ve collaborated in countries like Mexico, France, Germany, and New Zealand. I just joined Workaway so I have not many reviews but I’ve volunteered with HelpX where I have many of my volunteering reviews!, which I’d be happy to share.
I’m here to keep learning, helping, and creating beautiful connections throughout this long and meaningful journey.

Throughout my travels, I’ve gained experience in a wide variety of roles. I’ve worked as a bartender, receptionist, house-sitter, and surf shop manager. I’ve also helped with gardening, eco-construction, cleaning, and general maintenance.
I enjoy physical work, learning new skills, and being part of a team. I’m proactive, organized, and always ready to help with a smile. I’m comfortable welcoming guests, handling check-ins, and making people feel at home — especially in hostel or tourism environments.
I’ve helped in kitchens, and I’m Mexican so I’m born with amazing cooking skills by definition , I also have experience taking care of animals assisted with social media content , and love living off-grid experiences .
Thanks to my travels, I’ve learned to adapt quickly and work well in multicultural environments. I speak fluent Spanish, English, and German, and I’m currently learning French. I always bring a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and lots of good energy wherever I go
During my trip my motto has been : “if I’m not learning, I’m doing something wrong “

But the biggest reason was Dawn.
Dawn is the most amazing and kind host I’ve ever met. She treats all her volunteers like family (and I definitely consider myself part of ). If she can help you in any way, she always will, as long as you’re willing to… read more
