Description
Hi, the name I was given is Mitchell. I am in Thailand now, but before that I was traveling the United States for 20 months discovering the beauty of the states while uncovering myself. I lived out of my car as cheapy as possible, and learned the art of minimalism. I traveled to 28 of the 50 states.
I believe in the vulnerability, opportunity, and growth that accompanies living outside your comfort zone. During my travels life has given me numerous opportunities to learn about myself, others, and the interactions of life. I am grateful for each challenge and success because it has made me peaceful, resilient, compassionate, and adaptable.
Honesty and transparency are paramount for experiences like this. I will be honest and clear with you as I hope you will be with me. If there is a problem or something I am not aware of please bring it my attention, as I will with you. Conflict is inevitable when spaces are shared and that is okay, it is important that we can both handle conflict as mature adults and not take things personally.
I believe there is value in community and group work and also value in personal time and silent reflection. With this said I expect to be apart of the community group work for the agreed upon hours and for the rest of the time to have the freedom to pursue my personal passions. This does not mean I will never be apart of the group outside of work time but it means that I have the choice to be apart or not be apart.
I find fulfillment in meaningful conversation, meditation, learning, teamwork, play, creativity, helping others, new experiences, food, and the simple art of being in silence.
Before my travels in America, I went to college and I graduated from the University of Missouri with a BA in Natural Resource Science and Management. I took botany, ecology, hydrology, and classes alike. I had an internship in regenerative agriculture, more specially silvopasture. My emphasis within my degree was human dimensions meaning how do we influence nature and how does nature influence us.
Lastly, I recently cut off most of my hair, so most of my pictures I have long hair but I added one picture that shows what I look like now :)
