Description
Hello, nice to digitally meet you! We are Mitchell & Anne-Wil, a Dutch couple looking for a place in Sweden.
Anne-Wil: described as a positive and enthusiastic nature- and animal lover. I love to craft and learn a wide variety of new things.
Mitch: an independent, honest and hardworking giant. I love to cook and have seen most movies. I work as a car mechanic, what comes in very handy when travelling with our van ;)
Together: we found each other in our love for travelling and the outdoors. During the year we vary between working and travelling. We built our campervan in which we're living for 4 years now. Spending so much time together on one square meter means we can handle each others presence pretty well ;)
This winter we are travelling the Baltics and Scandinavia. We want to do Workaway because we'd love to buy land in Sweden and we experienced that Workaway is a great way to learn about the culture and way of living before in Alaska. We also want to learn skills for that goal as well.
We are used to living off-grid with little, far from amenities and entertain ourselves with indoor and outdoor hobbies.
Workaway experience: we did Workaway in Alaska at four different places. Our tasks included: firewood, taking care of sleddogs, wood peeling for cabin build, cooking, gardening, repairs etc. Besides the platform experience in animal sitting and house sitting.
We are looking for:
open and clear communication, learning new skills (wide variety, we just love to learn but it would be nice if useful for living off-grid/in the North), laughter (or as we say in Dutch 'gezelligheid', which means just having a nice time together).

We both love animals and took care of everything between a dozen of husky's and guinea pigs. Anne-Wil works as a veterinary technician and Mitch as a car mechanic, which we both enjoy.
We built our own campervan from scratch. Anne-Wil loves gardening (she's able to grow vegetables on a French balcony or a big garden) and has been around horses her whole life. Mitch is handy and technical and we both love to build stuff. We travelled a lot and love to see the similarities and differences around the world.
