Description
I have an adventurous spirit and am plotting the next phase in my life. With a daughter finishing college and most of my career behind me, it is time for a change! I love travel, meeting interesting people, running on trails keeps me happy and healthy and being on the water makes everything better. I was a competitive runner and while much slower these days, still compete but for social reasons as much as competitive reasons.
I have been a DIY homeowner for decades, refurbished 2 fixer-uppers and with the help of my former husband, who is a woodworker, I built a cabin from the ground up. I am very physically fit and enjoy hard work especially as a part of a team. Being a contributing part of a community is important to me. A background in art led me to a marketing career but my passion is coaching where I donate many hours to the community.
While open minded with a diverse friend group and accepting outlook, I am liberal thinking, environmentally and socially conscious and value these qualities in others.
A day that starts with a trail run finishes with intelligent conversation over great food is a good day. I’m working to ensure there are more of these in my life.

I have been a DIY homeowner for decades and picked-up some tricks of the trade while living with a very talented woodworker for 15 years.
I have a basic understanding of many things and with some guidance can learn almost anything.
I built a cabin from the ground up, am very physically fit and enjoy hard work especially as a part of a team.
I am also creative with the eye of an engineer. My undergraduate degree is in art, and while life has pulled me away from creative painting, I'd love to get back to it. In the meantime, I'm great at painting walls, fences, furniture, etc. etc.
Other skills include marketing, graphic design and coaching/teaching and planning/hosting events (anything from a party to a track meet!). I run a youth track and field program non-profit and manage 10 coaches and have worked with thousands of young athletes over 14 years.

While not musically talented, I love listening to music and dancing. I've taken up Salsa dancing and enjoy the diverse community and energy of latin dance. I have a daughter who is about to graduate from GA Tech with an engineering degree. As she launches on her next chapter, I am in search of mine. Workaways seem the perfect way to contribute to a community while getting to know it and its people. I can't wait to get started!
