🌸 About Me
Hello! My name is Minori Takaya, and I’m a senior university student from Osaka, Japan.
In July, I took a plane for the first time in my life and traveled solo to Europe. During that trip, I realized how wonderful it is to connect with people through English, and it inspired me to keep improving my language skills. That’s why I joined Workaway 😊
Right now, I’m working at an airport, studying English, and preparing for my next adventure.
From February to early March 2026, I would love to join a Workaway program. I’m especially interested in the nature, agriculture, and ways of daily life that I wouldn’t be able to experience in Japan.

I’m a cheerful and curious person who loves to try new things.
I get along with people easily and enjoy learning from different cultures and experiences.(I once became friends with a traveler at the airport, and we went sightseeing together in Kyoto.⛩️)
At home, I have two cats, and I absolutely love spending time with animals!

🌿 My Experience
In Japan, I have a part time job as a tutor for elementary school children and also as an airport assistant, helping international travelers.
I’m used to doing all kinds of household chores and can cook simple Japanese home-style meals. So I’d be happy to help around the house and share a bit of Japanese culture too.
I’ve never been seriously involved in agriculture, but that’s exactly why I want to learn about it.

I am majoring in Western art history, with a particular interest in Christian paintings. I have come to appreciate the importance of understanding and respecting cultures from different countries.

Living on my own, I am capable of handling all daily household tasks. I can also prepare Japanese home-cooked meals such as nikujaga, hot pot, and rice balls.
I have experience teaching elementary school students and am confident in engaging with children and supporting educational activities.
