Hello!
I'm Melissa, I have just completed my masters and am seeking a new and positive adventure. I have lived in Paris before as an au pair and completely loved exploring a new place and experiencing a different culture.
I enjoy spending time outdoors - especially walking, running, and spending time in nature.
I also love trying new things and activities along with reading in my free time. Also I'm currently trying to learn French so would love to have a workaway experience in France.

I have had experience as an au pair - during this time I helped teach English to two kids - alongside this I cooked, cleaned, and generally helped around the house.
I have two dogs at home so I'm always outside walking them, socialising them, and taught/trained my younger pup.
I've studied a lot for my masters about the SDGs and would love to contribute to a project surrounding these. Open to trying new things and I would like to pick up new skills during a stay!

Mel was great to have around, happy to get involved in all the work tasks we had. Including gardening and cleaning. She is also great company and enjoyed meeting my local friends. Hope to see her back here sometime.

Melissa (we called her Mel) was one of our sweetest and kindest volunteers. One of her jobs was to take care of our very large German Shepherd puppies, a job that involved light training and daily grooming. They loved her and she managed them very well. I spent 4 weeks at the chateau and cannot believe how fast they went by! Micaela and John are very kind, welcoming, extremely generous, and just wonderful hosts who go above and beyond for us volunteers - I am so grateful.
