Description
Hello all! My name is Maylin and I'm an explorative soul from the PNW. I've grown up helping maintain and improve our wonderful chunk of land alongside my lil family unit. I've shared this space alongside my parents, siblings, niece (Millie, 4), and nephew (Dylan, 6). Since they've come into the world, I've been very involved with the care of my Millie, Dylan, and the small gaggle of other children around the family compound. My parents raised me with a deep respect for self reliance and ability to sustain yourself with the resources that surround you. I have solid basic knowledge of farming/agriculture, foraging, and general safety while living alongside the great outdoors.
I've always believed there is invaluable knowledge to be gained from the world around us. I grew up aspiring to compare to people like Jane Goodall, Sy Montgomery, and Diane Fossey; their commitment to their causes inspired me from a young age to pursue a life in Ethology. Right now, I'm working to complete a 12-month work visa for New Zealand. I'm aiming to do some real hands-on work to expand what I already know and show me things I don't. I hope the experiences I have and people I meet can propel me towards my goal! Thanks for reading! :)

I spent a few years learning under an oil painting master who inspired a large interest in art and creation. I grew up loving doing maintenance and landscaping with my dad in our 18 acres of forest. As far as recreational time I adore exploring new places; camping, hiking, and backpacking have always been near and dear to my heart. I am highly extroverted and loving meeting new people and spending quality time with old friends. My number one activity I do for fun would have to be just sitting outside and observing all the animals I can see, learning their patterns and methods of interaction. This is a long standing interest that sparked my motivation in a career in Ethology.
