Salam Aleykoum ! My name is Martin, I'm 29 and I work as a ceramist (I make pottery). I am travelling with my girlfriend Mathilde, who is 29 too and work as illustrator and film animator. We come from the country side of France, in Drome, in a little city called Crest.
Why are we travelling in Marocco ? Mathilde has to be in Tiznit at the end of the mouth to learn jewelry in the school called "La Fibule". We decided to travel a bit before that to discover Marocco, meet people et learn about marocan, berberian and amazir culture.
I am especially interested in low-tech systems, wich I try to promote in my work creating contemporary caramic with old way technics.
Mathilde is very curious in general, she would love learning new cooking receipes, languages (she is curently learning norwegian and arabic) or any new craftingskills (she knitt, sew, draw, wood work and has a very enthusiastic energy !)
How can we help ?
We like doing stuff with our hands ! Recently, we renovated my workshop, crafting all the fourniture with second hand material and making news walls with clay and straw. We are not affraid to being outside, doing physical tasks, gardening, farming and building. We like spending time with humans but also with animals.
What do we need ?
We are travelling light, so we just have a sleeping bag liner. A matress and some cover would be appreciated. :) We like to enjoy quality time with people but also spending time by ourselves (reading, drawing, hiking our just chilling).
