  • Description

Helloo, we are Martina and Elia, two special friends or a little bit more from Italy. We introduce ourselves: we are sweet and friendly, energetic and smiley, Martina a bit chaotic, Elia aways on time. We like to explore, to walk, to do sports and play like kids.
We are having adventures together and improving each other: we had a bikepacking trip, we went to the mountains and by the sea, we slept in tents, vans, on the floor and on the sand.
We used a lot Couchsurfing and Warmshower so we got used to travel this way: staying with locals, learning everything by human contact and having a flexible travel schedule.
Toghether we also worked with kids but we both started by studying 5 years of product design side by side surviving each other in very stressfull situations!
In the next few months Elia will be free, looking for experiences and -unlikely- also another job, while Martina will be working from remote. We would like to ride this wave and mix our routine with something much more like us: working with people or kids, travelling, doing something useful for communities and for the environment. We are looking for an opportunity that leaves us some time during the day to work as digital nomads, since we have some projects going on in Italy!
I hope we look nice to you by these descriptions, but how could you tell if we don’t meet in person!

In this section, we'll to talk about what we’ve learned during our studies, but above all, we want to share many other sides of ourselves that we’ve developed in life beyond work!

    🎓
We both studied Product Design & Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, which gave us specific knowledge, while also covering a wide range of cross skills. Our studies made us strong team players and gave us a method to face many situations, always looking for innovative solutions! Usually we deal with practical and mechanical problems but previously the reaserch is always based on human needs. We hope to bring something meaningful to what we do, whether it's something tangible or emotional!

    👶🏼
We both worked a lot with children: we led workshops for "Brick 4 Kidz" in primary and middle schools, teaching STEM subjects through play with LEGO bricks. Doing this job was an incredible experience: first of all it enriched us on a human level, we developed a good confidence, we received unproportional love back and was also a lot of fun!

    🏕
Moreover, Elia has been involved in scouting for years, eventually becoming a scout leader. As part of an educational team, he supported the personal and group growth of teenagers, helping them build independence and adaptability. He spent days and days playing and living with kids during summer camps and throughout the year.

    🍳
We both volunteered to help in the kitchen and with logistics during summer camps—sometimes cooking for up to 100 hungry mouths at a time! Cooking is another thing we really enjoy, and we’d love to share this very Italian passion and skill of ours, while also learning more about the culinary traditions of other cultures.

Martina recently received a certification by participating in the European Solidarity Corps training, which allows her to take part in humanitarian missions around the world.
But beyond this certification, what she truly carries with her is the wealth of emotions and knowledge that the course gave her: about interculturality, respect, project development, stress management, and much more—not to mention the wonderful people she met along the way!

Also by travelling we have developed a good understanding of how to behave in intercultural settings—but we’re excited to put this to the test and grow!
We’re both adaptable and independent individuals, each in very different ways.

Elia is a very sweet 🍰 and kind guy, he make you feel comfortable 🛋, and he is always ready to help. He is very precise in everything he does, he is a calculator 🧮 and a very good planner (which is something to take into account since Martina on the other side is a total improviser 🤹🏻‍♀)! We like to say he is "super efficient" in carrying on household tasks (Martina confirm he’s surprisingly skilled at making the bed 🛏), but he express his full potential through all kinds of hands-on projects: he enjoys working with wood 🪵, loves craft workshops, recycling materials, and all sorts of imaginative and inventive technologies. He even worked as a bricklayer in England 🧱! He likes fixing bikes 🚲 and outfitting his van 🚐 so he can enjoy long trips in nature. He’s really into camping 🏕 and loves coming up with new systems to make himself and everyone with him comfortable everywhere. He’s skilled at climbing 🧗🏻‍♂ —a passion he patiently passed on to Martina, but-unfortunately—is a missed rugby 🏉 champion.. we all have to deal with that one single thing we failed in our life...

Martina is playful 🛝, vibrant 🌈, and independent ✊🏼—always ready to have fun and spread joy, but also to take on even the most complicated or practical problems 🛠 (she often does repairs and projects at her countryside home 🏡 or to a little family boat ⛵). She’s also a fantastic artist 🎨 and illustrator who can brighten up a room in no time with just a brush. She’s a fighter too: she loves Muay Thai 🥊 but she always stands up for others and for what's right 🏳‍🌈. She also claims she has been a dancer 🩰 and she can play drums 🥁… not sure we want to watch her performances.. but we’ll let you be the judge of that.
