Description
Hi! I'm Marta, an Italian traveler with a passion for people, cultures, and meaningful experiences.
I've become quite nomadic over the past few years, having lived in Spain, Canada, France, the Netherlands, Japan, and Greece for work or study. Every place has taught me something different, and I genuinely believe that the best way to understand the world is by living in it, not just visiting it.
I recently graduated with a Master's degree in International Relations and Human Rights, a field that reflects what I care about most: people, inclusion and building connections across cultures. Throughout the years I've also been involved in different volunteering experiences. I first volunteered in hostels and later worked with refugees and migrants, supporting educational and community projects. These experiences have shaped who I am and taught me the value of empathy, adaptability and kindness.
Right now, I'm looking for new opportunities to explore the world while giving something back along the way. For me, Workaway is about genuine human connections, learning from one another, sharing everyday life and discovering more about the wonderful world that surrounds us.
I'm an open-minded, curious and easygoing person who enjoys stepping outside my comfort zone. I love nature, hiking, photography, cooking together, learning languages,and listening to people's stories. I'm always happy to help, eager to learn new skills and I adapt easily to different environments.
