I'm currently looking for a work away in Feb/March 2025 in Central America or India :)

  • Description

    Hi,

I’m Mandy from Germany, and I’d love to share a bit about myself. At the heart of it all, I’m deeply passionate about connecting with people, sharing my knowledge, and being in nature.

My friends would describe me as an easygoing, open-minded, adventurous and communicative person.

In 2023, I took a leap of faith and quit my office job in HR to follow my dream of traveling and immersing myself in new cultures. In these nine months, I’ve explored India, Nepal, Australia, and New Zealand, diving into local traditions, foods, and ways of life. And loads of hiking :) This journey has been transformative and fueled my desire to contribute, learn, and grow alongside people from all walks of life.

Yoga, sound healing, and breathwork are integral to my life – they’re not just practices but tools for connection and wellbeing. Sharing these practices with others is deeply fulfilling.

I've traveled to a lot of different places, mostly as a solo female backpacker. This makes me a responsible, independent, and reliable person. I can easily adapt to any circumstances and I am here to learn and grow from experiences.

I love to engage in deep conversations and silly chats alike, and I thrive on being a good listener and offering support where it’s needed. I’m excited about the possibility of meeting WorkAway hosts and other WorkAwayers, sharing experiences, and contributing my energy and skills wherever they’re needed.

    Looking forward to connecting! 😊

    Warm regards,
    Mandy

  • What else ...

In addition to what I’ve already shared, I’d love to mention a few more things.

My mornings usually start with a routine that sets the tone for my day—whether it’s yoga and breathwork, a HIIT workout, or some quiet time journaling. These practices keep me grounded and energized. I’m also an avid reader, with a particular interest in psychology and personal growth, I’m currently reading Gabor Maté’s The Myth of Normal.

I’m a certified rescue diver, which has deepened my love for the ocean and adventure. I’m always eager to try new things—whether it’s aerial yoga, paddle, surfing or any other activity that pushes me out of my comfort zone and keeps life exciting. Last year in 2023 I did my first Vipassana (10-day meditation in silence) and it was a magical journey.

Currently, I'm teaching German at an NGO for refugees as a volunteer.

I come from a family with 1 brother and 1 sister and I am the eldest, plus I'm experienced in living in shared flats or spending my nights in hostel dorms ;)
