Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada - from Oct 2025 until Mar 2026 View allDescription
Hello, my name is Rodrigo Ariza, and I’m traveling alone.
My Golden Retriever (the one with me in my profile photo) passed away in August 2023.
Sinatra was my best friend and travel companion for many years. It was a very special bond. We began our travels in late 2016, and in the early years, we stayed at several Workaways and WWOOFs. That’s why my Workaway reviews mention him. He saw everyone as his new friend if they took the time to pet him.
Later, we also did house- and pet-sitting, and eventually transitioned into a digital nomad lifestyle, staying at Airbnbs or renting longer-term places, but always traveling together. If you’re a dog lover, you’ll understand why I keep his photo: My connection with dogs has shaped my entire journey, and being around them feels like being at home.
Looking back, the time I learned the most about myself was during my Workaway experiences. Helping on farms and in family homes gave me a window into different lives and perspectives, getting to know people, their culture, their town, their day-to-day, and their values, while also giving me time with my own thoughts, doing honest, physical work. Those years helped me discover my direction in life.
That’s why I’ve chosen to return to Workaway now. After two unfulfilling years without Sinatra, I feel it’s time to recalibrate, re-evaluate my priorities, and define my next path forward.
Now, I am neither a tourist who is looking for free accommodation while exploring, nor am I someone who needs constant entertainment or company. Of course, I enjoy good conversation and sharing, but I’m more of an introvert, so I’m also content to focus on the work you need done and then spend my free time quietly on my own digital projects. In the past, several hosts found that independence a relief, since I contributed fully without adding demands on their time.
What you can expect from me:
1. Reliability and respect: I understand and honor the trust it takes to welcome a Workawayer into your home.
2. A strong work ethic: I take pride in being productive and leaving things better than I found them.
3. A deep love of dogs: I know how much they mean to their families, and I’ll treat your dogs with the same care and affection I gave Sinatra every day of his life.
4. Quiet, thoughtful company: I’m friendly and enjoy good conversation and connection, but I’m also independent and understand it’s not your responsibility to entertain me.
If you’re looking for someone dependable, respectful, who will get the job done and treat your dogs as family, I’d be glad to join you and help with your projects.
I know how important this is, especially for you. Because for me, it’s not about landing the perfect Workaway, it’s about building a positive connection of trust with you and your family.
Thank you for considering me. 🙂Interests

Dogs
I’m happiest when I can be around dogs, whether it’s daily walks, feeding, grooming, playing, or simply having a dog nearby.
Systems & Organization
If you take the time to explain your objectives and what you need, I excel at developing systems that could make your lives easier.
In previous stays, I’ve:
Mapped out complex farming projects and their timeframes to coordinate resources and avoid bottlenecks.
Created clear, illustrated manuals for routine duties, saving hosts from re-explaining tasks to every new Workawayer.
Set up feeding schedules and chore lists to keep routines consistent and predictable.
Organized spaces (pantries, garages, attics, sheds) so everything is easy to find and maintain.
Digital & Creative Work
If your project involves anything digital, I can help with:
Marketing strategies and customer journeys.
Websites and content creation.
Social media campaigns (hostel, small business, Etsy store, etc.).
Hands-On Practical Work
I’m not just a computer guy, though. I enjoy hands-on tasks and take pride in doing them thoroughly. Some of the things I can help with include:
Deep cleaning (I pay attention to the small details others often miss).
Weeding, planting, and general gardening.
Stacking wood, clearing brush, mowing, or other outdoor work.
Painting, basic repairs, and odd jobs.
Farm animal care (feeding, cleaning pens, keeping animals safe and comfortable).
Cooking meals and keeping kitchens organized.
And of course, I’m flexible and open to helping with whatever other tasks you need.Age

What else ...
If needed, I can shed more details on the projects I've completed and show you more positive references ( WWOOF, Airbnb).
TL;DR:
Reliable, respectful, and independent. I love being around dogs, I work hard, and I don’t need entertaining — I’m here to help and make your life easier.
Have a wonderful day! Some more information
