Description
Hi, we're Fionnuala and Alex, a couple from Ireland. After working for a few years as a secondary school maths teacher (Fionnuala) and an environmental health officer (Alex), we're ready for a change and a new adventure! We're planning to travel in South America, starting in Colombia, for the next 6 months.
We are friendly, open-hearted, and love meeting new people and learning new skills. We're a great team, physically fit, and not afraid of a hard day's work.
What we can offer:
Fionnuala: I grew up in rural West Cork with lots of animals, so I'm great with horses, donkeys, chickens, dogs, and cats. My passion for nature means I love gardening and working outdoors. As a secondary school teacher, I also bring strong communication, patience, and organizational skills.
Alex: As an environmental health officer, I'm an expert in food safety and hygiene, which makes me a great asset in any kitchen. I have experience with manual labor and love working with my hands on projects. I'm also friendly, outgoing, and enjoy sharing stories with new people.

Our Skills and Experience:
Teaching & Communication: As a math and science teacher, Fionnuala is skilled in teaching complex topics and both are comfortable teaching English, if required.
Driving: Both have full licenses and years of experience. Alex has experience driving heavy machinery.
Manual Labor: We welcome practical work and have plenty of experience; using a chainsaw painting, gardening and landscaping etc
Animal Care: We are both comfortable with animals, and Fionnuala has specific experience working on horse yards.
Culinary: We are excellent cooks, having both worked in restaurants, and are happy to help in the kitchen.
Teamwork: Through our professional backgrounds as a teacher and environmental health officer, we are confident, personable, and skilled at working with new people effectively.
Physical Fitness: Both physically fit and up for hard work, particularly outdoors.
Languages: Both fluent in English and excited to learn Spanish.
