What draws me to ‘Workaway’ idea would be my passion and eagerness to be involved in any sustainability and environmental- nature related work endeavors to learn and remain teachable while joining others to create a positive impact and be part of a solution in the process. Even more so after reading the complete guidebook … to find whats true for me and where values, hopes and purpose in life coincides.
I am adventurous on places to travel, hike, run to & open to fitness activities to try. Also a cook & foodie who just turned into vegan or more of plant based diet 4 years ago. I am certainly interested in cultural, language immersion given a chance and prefers rural settings for a change. I grow a lot of indoor plants and edible/ medicinal container garden in my balcony. Experienced what’s ‘Open Heart and Open Home’ when I moved alone in Vancouver and not just read the book …and ever grateful and blessed to do so.
I enjoy and yearn for any hands-on projects, furniture assembly, installed lighting and plumbing fixtures to installing own hardwood floor and outdoor decks, hardscape and garden concrete arts …can very much handle few power & garden tools. Very much into Green buildings and Biophilic design. I had my share of helping out with children coming from a big family along various volunteer times in local church, Stanley Park Ecology Society in my neighborhood where I run, UBC farm and local permaculture projects and workshops.
