Hi I’m Luke, I’m looking for a nice community that I can be a part of and contribute towards..
I have a lot of experience living in interesting communities and I think they can bring people a lot of vibrance and happiness.

I'm and intermediate fiddle player and I have a passion for traditional music. I also enjoy wood carving and gardening although I still have a lot to learn.

This is my first time using workaway, but I have many years of experience volunteering and working abroad on interesting projects.

I really enjoy the lifestyle that comes with getting stuck into a project in a new place. In the past I’ve ran a humanitarian NGO feeding refugees, worked on a shipyard in central America, sailed aboard a search and rescue vessel, among other memorable jobs.

I also have a lot of hospitality experience including bar management, mixology, catering and accommodation..

I’m pretty easy to get along with and after living in many close communities I’m aware of what can make a place feel homely. I’m also aware of the difficulties that can sometime arise when people are living closely together, so I’m always sure to keep the place clean, stress freeand will always try to be helpful.

I have year of experience cooking in different settings. I’ve managed kitchens and so can keep calm under stress. I currently have my own festival café business that I run over the summer months.

By starting my own business and NGOs I’ve gained experience in the technical and legal document requirements often needed, such as writing policies and assessments. I also have experience with team management, payment systems, conflict resolution.

With kitchen work also comes a natural speed and proficiency at cleaning.

I studied creative writing and have a degree in script and film production.

I helped with infrastructure construction and tree felling, but I’m not a proficient carpenter, I only have the basic skills.

I’m good with animals and I would really enjoy working with them, although I’ve never really done it much besides dog walking and building a chicken coop.

I haven't had many jobs where I have dealt with with paying customers face to face (I’m usually in the back), but the few times I’ve done it I’ve enjoyed it and done so with confidence.

I’m quite good and fixing things that are broken especially small intricate household items.
I have a keen eye and I’m good with presentation. I like puzzles and quizzes.
