  • More details about your skills

I am a Post-graduate Speech and Language Therapy student at University of Manchester, trained to support people with speech, communication and swallowing difficulties. During my placements, I've worked with children with social communication challenges, adults with learning disabilities and stroke patients, building social skills in compassion, patience, teamwork and being person-centered.

I've also volunteered with a charity supporting people with Down's Syndrome, helping plan and run inclusive, fun activities. In addition, I work part-time in a busy takeaway/restaurant, which has taught me how to stay calm under pressure and provide great customer service.

I'm driven by helping others and excited to use my skills in a school setting while learning from a new culture and community.

  • What else ...

I love doing arts and crafts, and have just taken up crocheting. I also love to cook and bake especially learning how to make new and complex dishes. I am an animal lover, especially dogs, and will often offer to walk neighbors/friends dogs for them. I love being in nature, and going on hikes in places like the Peak District (Northern England).
