Description

Heyyy, I’m Liam, a 20yo traveller from Brussels. I am travelling the world to live life to the fullest and be young, wild and free.

I like going with the flow, spontaneity, sharing jokes and stories, eating good food and taking on challenges.
I am mainly looking for adventures, meeting new people, learning new skills and cultures and generally having a good time.

My passions are engineering, wilderness, photography and cinematography, music and extreme or aquatic sports; frozen water counts 😁. I'm also very DIY driven and love building or creating stuff. (more below)

I am a pretty laid back person, I don't do stress: there’s never a problem, only a change of plans. I don’t like beating around the bush, like straight talk and value honesty. I’m punctual and organised.

I eat mostly anything but when I cook for myself I (try to) cook vegetarian. I enjoy the occasional beer (I am Belgian after all 😄) but I'm perfectly fine without. I don’t really smoke myself but don’t mind smokers. I’m 189cm 70kg/ 6’2” 154lbs if at all relevant.

I started engineering studies before my longing for travel grew too strong 😆. This means I have a good understanding of anything related to mechanics, electricity, construction, theoretical maths, etc. Although I suspect that last one might not come in very handy haha.

I can:
- Build, make, repair, paint, sand, … anything you need.
- Work with any powertool on wood and metal including grinding and welding.
→ this includes gardening, mowing, trimming hedges, using chainsaw, (plenty of experience from home).
- solder and work on electrical circuits.
- design anything in 3D CAD software on my own laptop.
- code basic python, java, arduino,... I have a 3d printer that I made and build PC’s, drones, RC cars, robots, etc. so I’m quite knowledgeable about anything electronics related.
- Overall I’m just a handy person and like doing all sorts of projects.

- take pictures and make videos, I travel with a camera.
- edit cool videos, although I’m trying to develop this skill even further. I will (try to) make videos about my travels and post them, I can do the same for you. As for expectations, I can show you an example if you want.
- play guitar and piano, but I’m not thaaat great haha. Music is however a big passion of mine and I listen to all styles (RHCP are big favourites haha).

- I like cooking but don’t know many recipes by heart. I am however (very) interested in learning.
- clean and care for a home but prefer to be organised and not leave a mess in the first place, especially in confined spaces like boats.
- teach, everything at various levels depending on the age, but more focused on science, maths, chemistry, physics, English, French, Dutch.
- care for animals: I’ve had two cats, a dog and fish myself.

What else ...

When I work, I work hard and efficiënt. I don’t like wasting time, I think before I do and I do with purpose. There's nothing worse than a half-assed job.

As for resting/chilling, I like lying in a hammock talking about life with a cocktail in my hand watching the sun go down. I like laughing with people about stupid things and learning about other people's view of the world. I really enjoy deep conversations and don’t judge. It’s also really difficult to offend me so everyone can be straight with me.

Things I want to learn: surfing, sailing, rock climbing, mountain biking, languages, about nature, different cuisines, horseback riding, riding a motorcycle, flying a plane, the meaning of life, could jack have fit on the door in titanic?, ok I’m just joking now.
