Hi there! I'm Laura.

I used to be a Human Resources professional, now I'm in the middle of a career break and looking forward to travelling around the world.

I discovered Workaway last year, and thanks to this platform I lived one of the most enriching and exciting experiences of my life in Ireland.
I arrived a month ago in Australia. Currently living and working in the Gold Coast, but looking for a quieter destination where I can spend time in the nature and discover amazing places.

I am eager to discover new places, to practice languages, to immerse myself in a culture different to mine and to live experiences that are out of the ordinary!

I am very good at working with people. Apart from my background in HR, I have a lot of experience in customer-facing roles. I have worked a lot as a waitress, shop assistant, sales agent...

My passion since I was a child has been horse riding, so I am used to the countryside and the farm work: cleaning stables, feeding the animals and so on.

I also have experience in childcare, since I worked as an Aupair twice and I have been an English teacher for kids.

I think I am good with manual work, I enjoy assembling furniture and repairing small things around the house.
