Description
Hello everyone!
We are Lara (36) and Tania (34) from Malta, and we are new to the Workaway experience.
I, Lara, worked as a quantity surveyor with a local roads & civil contracting company. I’m eager to work on something meaningful and take a break from the busy desk-bound lifestyle I currently lead.
I, Tania, recently managed a foundation focused on securing employment opportunities for persons with disabilities in the open labour market. I also spent several years working as a veterinary nurse and have a deep love for animals and nature.
We are both laid-back, positive, and hardworking people who enjoy practical, hands-on tasks and aren’t afraid to get our hands dirty. We’re both passionate about gardening, although we’ve never had the chance to work on actual land, and would love the opportunity to learn and contribute in this area.
Tania is particularly interested in animal care and gardening projects, combining her veterinary background with her love of the outdoors. Lara is keen to learn new skills along the way – carpentry has been on her list for a while – and is excited to get involved in physical, creative work.
We both enjoy hiking, quiet time in nature, and working on projects that allow for personal growth while giving back.
We’re really excited for the experiences and learning opportunities that await us on this journey! :)
