Hi, I'm Kyra! This year I chose to take a gap year, mainly to explore new cultures besides my own.

More details about my language interests
I have always been interested in learning new languages, for example English, French, Japanese and German. At work I also speak to French, German, Spanish and sometimes Japanese people. Because of these people I've become better at speaking all of those languages :). Most of all, I have a love for learning Japanese. Although I'm not actively learning Japanese words right now, I have been reading Japanese manga and twitter (now X), and I mainly listen to Japanese music. I would guess I'm at N4 level Japanese, bordering on N3.

I have experience with talking to people of other ethnicities on a daily basis; I work at an airport. I also have family abroad to whom I go to often, so I have lots of experience travelling abroad! Furthermore, I have a barista certificate, so I can make all standard types of coffee and tea (including latte art).

I love reading books and drawing in my free time. My book preference is very broad, I love everything from classics to contemporary literature from abroad ☺️(Japanese, German, French, English).

Now that I have a gap year, I cannot wait to meet new people and have new experiences!
