  • Description

I'm a 25-year-old Polish guy with big dreams, ambitious plans, a few journeys and experiences that I'm very proud of.
I'm a very curious person who every day tries to discover more about the world around me by engaging in various activities and projects that bring me closer to nature and people. As well as aiming to be up to date with current events that happen around me.
I love being a part of communities that create actual values and effort, which can allow a person to learn by experience and actually 'walk the walk' and not just 'talk the talk' while sharing moments and exchanging knowledge and life wisdom :D

I love being active, but have no problem with spending a long evening with a book or an interesting movie/series that catches my attention. I do bike a lot (especially while I was living in Copenhagen, Denmark - one of the most bike-friendly cities in the world! :), go to sauna whenever possible, exercise and enjoy walks in local areas.
On top of that, I'm quite a sports bloke, so watching some sports events is definitely on the menu too!
Loving football, but I also have quite some passion for snooker, darts, volleyball, ski jumping (very popular in Poland!), and more, haha.

I'm surely open-minded and willing to have a great time together, filled with long conversations or just silence, because there is nothing wrong with just sitting and being comfortable next to one another!

I want to be a part of the Workaway community, since I know this is a great place to establish relations and meet great people who can help me learn more and let me do the same in return :)
Journeys that I have had so far have made me realise that travelling and working together, as well as other elements it is connected with, are some of the best experiences in the world, and that's the life I would like to have.
People I've met so far have shown me that there are no limits and we can do anything, but we simply have to be willing to do it (I guess I am sort of a philosopher myself sometimes ;)

    Cheers!

I speak Polish and English fluently, so I can definitely help with these! I do feel confident with my Spanish; however, I am aware there is a lot to learn and improve on my side, therefore, I would be more comfortable learning more than helping someone else. Although, if needed, I believe I could jump into helping with basic Spanish too Patience is key :D

  • More details about your skills

I have finished IT-oriented Technical High School in Grodzisk Wielkopolski, Poland and majored in a Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics & IT at KEA – Copenhagen School of Design and Technology in Denmark.
Having graduated from both institutions with personal successes, I can confidently say I have a solid insight into utilising IT in Business practices and vice versa, as well as how to work efficiently in the broadly defined business world.

During my studies, I worked in Logistics at IKEA for 3 years (both in a warehouse operations and in the office), where I expanded my knowledge on how big businesses operate daily and how I can apply my skills to improve day-to-day operations, as well as how to coordinate a team of 10-20 people.

On top of that, I also worked in other industries and areas, among others:
    - Freelance Tutor of Math and English - my personal favourite, I have been doing it for around 9 years
    - Freelance and Contract Tour Guide in Copenhagen and the surrounding areas - 1 year
    - Bike mechanic - 1 year
    - Marketing Specialist - 1.5 years
    - Freelance Football Data Collector - 4 main divisions of the Danish League system + Danish Cup
    - Pet Sitter (dogs & cats) - 3 years during my time in Copenhagen
    - Manual labourer - teenage jobs in a village of my origin (e.g., poultry & turkey farms, local businesses and farms)

I come from a very humble family and have learnt throughout the years what it means to work hard both physically and mentally to progress in life and achieve personal goals and growth.
I know what it means to be disciplined at work, but I am also aware that hard work without any organisation or objective can bring only 'headaches', instead of the desired outcome :)

I also have an International Driver's License and Forklifts Certificate (3 main types).

I like to think there is no challenge I cannot engage in and if there is one, I will admit it without shame :)

  • What else ...

I hope that by now I have been able to give you a rather comprehensive overview of who I am as a person, and that you are rather interested in cooperation! :Dd
I like to think I am a positive and funny person, but that has to be verified by others, especially since I can laugh at my own jokes and misfortunes a lot, and some jokes are only for me anyway, haha

From other hobbies, I do carry a lot of love towards poetry and create my own texts, mainly focusing on the art of haiku, but I am not refraining from writing some longer forms.
I write them both in English and Polish.

As I mentioned in one of the sections, I love sports, both watching and playing. I used to play football a lot, also in a club, but sadly I caught a legendary career-ending condition called 'weak knees' and had to cancel my plans on being new Pele, Messi or Philipp Lahm after a surgery and hanging out too much with the doctors and nurses (with all due respect towards them! ;).
So now I do enjoy playing sports for fun and tend to try any kind of activity that makes me happy and helps to stay healthy.

I've also been a part of the Couchsurfing community: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/kuba-probst

PS. Kuba is a diminutive of the name 'Jakub' in Polish that I usually go by :D
