Hello! I’m Kristina and I have been traveling full time for the last couple of years. I crossed the Atlantic Ocean on a sailing boat for the first time three years ago, and that journey turned my world upside down. Since then, I haven’t stopped exploring, sailing all the way to French Polynesia, where I’ve had the privilege of discovering countless islands. I now find myself traveling in Central America until end of March. I am traveling to Costa Rica from the beginning of March, open for volunteering projects.

🌍 What Drives Me
I enjoy living in communities and love being the kind of person who brings warmth and positivity to any group. My biggest responsibility the last few years was to keep everyone happy on board with providing yummy meals and take care of the logistics for all the ocean crossings we did. This eventually became also part of my profession where I specialized myself as a chef on sailing yachts.

I’m very passionate about outdoor activities such as (kite)surfing, hiking, (acro)yoga, snorkeling, (the ocean & mountains in general), and capturing moments through photography and videography. Life at sea has taught me resilience, adaptability, and how to thrive in close-knit environments. During this international experiences, I also learned to speak many languages (Dutch, English, French, Spanish and Russian).

• Organizational, hospitality and logistical skills (I have a bachelor degree in Toursim & Hospitality)
• Enthusiasm, warmth, and positivity in group settings
• Cooking comfort meals at your home - I work as a Yachting Chef and I absolutely love cooking :)
• Fluent communication in English, French, Dutch and conversational Spanish and Russian
• A creative eye for photography and videography (I used to make some videos on YT for fun)
• Artistic skills for painting and murals to bring color and creativity to spaces
• Childcare with patience, care, and a playful spirit
• Help with outdoor projects, gardening, and hands-on work

Workaway around Costa Rica, for a period of 2 weeks.

👩‍🌾 Previous Workaway Experiences
• Jan 2026 until Feb 2026 - assisting with snorkel excursions in Spanish & English. Santa Catalina, Panama
• March 2022 until Sep 2022 - International Surf School in Fuerteventura (host for guests, organizing surf classes and housekeeping)
• October 2022 - Permaculture tribe and nature life in Serta, Portugal (artistic projects making decorative murals in the interior and exterior, taking care of veggie garden )
