Hello! I’m Kristina and I have been traveling full time for the last couple of years . I crossed the Atlantic Ocean on a sailing boat for the first time three years ago, and that journey turned my world upside down. Since then, I haven’t stopped exploring, sailing all the way to French Polynesia, where I’ve had the privilege of discovering countless islands. I now find myself in the Bahamas for my job, excited to take a break in January and explore life in Central America.

🌍 What Drives Me
I enjoy living in communities and love being the kind of person who brings warmth and positivity to any group. My biggest responsibility the last few years was to keep everyone happy on board with providing yummy meals and take care of the logistics for all the ocean crossings we did. This eventually became also part of my profession where I specialized myself as a chef on sailing yachts.

I’m very passionate about outdoor activities such as (kite)surfing, hiking, (acro)yoga, snorkeling, (the ocean & mountains in general), and capturing moments through photography and videography. Life at sea has taught me resilience, adaptability, and how to thrive in close-knit environments. During this international experiences, I also learned to speak many languages (Dutch, English, French, Spanish and Russian).

Workaway around Panama, Santa Catalina for a period of 3 weeks.

👩‍🌾 Previous Workaway Experiences
• March 2022 until Sep 2022 - International Surf School in Fuerteventura (host for guests, organizing surf classes and housekeeping)
• October 2022 - Permaculture tribe and nature life in Serta, Portugal (artistic projects making decorative murals in the interior and exterior, taking care of veggie garden )

- My first workaway was being in Fuerteventura for 4 months at a surfhouse where I managed the house, organized the surf classes and took care of the guests relations.
- My language skills have always been a great asset in life. I am able to speak Dutch, English, French, Spanish and Russian fluently.
- I got a tourism bachelor degree and a lot of experience in the hospitality industry since I've worked in different hotels as a front desk receptionist. In my student years I also enjoyed working at restaurants and bars.
- My last experience went through in Dubai. I lived there for 7 months and worked at the World Expo 2020 as a host for the Belgian Pavilion.
- In my freetime I practice yoga and pilates
