Hi everybody!
I am from France and live in Canada for 3 years now. I experimented different Workaway places during the whole summer of 2024 and met wonderful, creative and inspiring people. I had the chance to participate in different kind of work like gardening, landscaping, carpentry, woodwork, petsitting, cooking, cleaning...

I am currently living in Whitehorse and have two jobs for the winter.
After many adventures and meets, it's now a different kind of project that I am seeking for this summer 2026. I would like to discover more about woodwork (especially cabinet making/restauration). In this way, I would be grateful to integrate a place, for a month or more, where any woodwork happens. I am keen to learn everything around Wood and perhaps, later, orient my professional life in this vast domain. Before this, I think it would be best to immerse myself in it and see how it goes and how's the real work. So for now, it's all about learning to get the basic skills. Of course, I will be happy to help with any others works that need to be done on your properties.

During summer 2024 I had the chance to stay for a month and half with a carpenter on Haida Gwaii (stunning island!) and he put me on his new cabin project. I helped him with measurements, cut, sanding, painting, assembly, using a variety of power tools. I've also put ALL the inside isolation. I am not the most experienced person in woodwork, but I have all the intentions to learn, help and improve.
They are many DIY projects that I did and some that I am still working on. I designed and made my bed frame in the back of my Mazda Tribute, built a pique-nique table, sanded and painted a small cabin, built a little storage from pallets...


Aside that, I went trough different experiences in France and Canada and all of them taught me something. Every year was very different with very different challenges.

I love helping others and making things that find a purpose for someone or something. Also, I like sports like climbing, hiking, biking, running, canoeing... as much as I like to take some rest when my body ask for it .

I’ve followed a 5 years studies in cost control and continuous improvement, it’s not the stuff of dream but I’ve learnt a lot!
I use to work in team as in autonomous and manage project or even create or update process.
I’am really creative when I’am by my own and think how to improve or facilitate tasks.
Concerning my personal side, I’am really manual and like to « touch » things to discover how it works. I use to do some simple tasks in the garden or just repair or improve things I already got to make them more useful or give them a second life.
I’am resourceful, dynamic and learn quickly.
I use to go hiking and backpacking, road triping in the smallest car you have ever seen and indeed organize all kind of trips.
I have my offshore boating licence but no much experience on sailing which is something I would love to explore as well.
