Description
Hi! I'm Greg, a 26-year-old from Brussels with a curious mind and an adaptable spirit. I speak French and English fluently, and I have a strong passive understanding of Dutch, German, and Japanese — languages come naturally to me, and I love the way they open doors to new worlds.
Music is at the heart of who I am — I'm pretty eclectic in my tastes, much like I am in life. Whether I'm hiking through nature, gaming, or discovering a new place, I tend to throw myself into things fully and figure it out as I go.
Professionally, I work as a software developer, which means I'm generally comfortable with anything tech-related. I also enjoy cooking and don't mind getting my hands dirty with practical tasks around the house.
I'm the kind of person who can be social and energetic one day, and quietly focused the next — I adapt to the energy around me, which I think makes me a good fit in a variety of environments.
I've traveled through France, Germany, and Italy, and I'm eager to go further — not just as a tourist, but by actually living alongside people, learning from them, and contributing something real in return. That's what Workaway means to me.

Languages have always come naturally to me, and I'm always eager to learn more. I'd love to improve my Spanish and Italian, deepen my Japanese, or honestly pick up any language — I find the process genuinely fun and rewarding. On the teaching side, I'd be happy to help anyone wanting to learn or practice French, it's my mother tongue and I love sharing it.

More details about your skills
My main expertise is in software development — I'm comfortable across the stack, whether it's setting up systems, troubleshooting tech issues, or building things from scratch. If a host needs help with anything computer-related, I'm the person for the job.
Beyond tech, I enjoy cooking and am happy to help in the kitchen. I also have hands-on experience in more physical work — I've done tree pruning and volunteered at festivals, both in setup/logistics and welcoming the public. I'm comfortable working outdoors and don't shy away from physical tasks.
I'm a fast learner and happy to take on new challenges — whatever needs doing, I'll figure it out and give it my best. I'm also fluent in French and English, with a good passive understanding of Dutch, which can come in handy depending on the host's location.

What else ...
Music is a big part of my life — my taste is all over the place, from rap to classical, and I'd love to get back into learning piano or pick up a new instrument along the way.
I'm a gamer in the broad sense — video games (solo or multiplayer), board games, and tabletop RPGs are all things I enjoy. I love the social and creative side of it as much as the games themselves.
I also build Gundam model kits (Gunpla), which is a hobby that takes patience and a steady hand — oddly meditative once you get into it.
I enjoy hiking when I get the chance, and I'm looking to do more camping as I travel. I'm also into combat sports, and I run a home server in my spare time because apparently I can't help tinkering with things.
In short: I have a lot of interests, I'm always curious, and I genuinely enjoy connecting with people over shared passions — or discovering new ones.
