  • Description

Hi there! I am a 23 year old American currently traveling abroad! I have been traveling Europe for the last 2 months and have another month before I plan to settle with the right workaway host for 1-6months. I hope to do 2-3 workaways in Ireland, England, Scotland, or France before continuing on with my travels (Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, Oceania, and Central America). Personally I would describe myself as hardworking/motivated (hate to sit still!), semi-humorous (self deprecation and banter may ensue), cooperative, non confrontational (to a fault), and adventurous (not squeamish and never turn away from scary things/always down to try something new)! In my workaways I hope to learn more about the ins and outs of the country I am in and hopefully make life long connections with those I am around. I did an exchange to France in 2016 and it was truly life changing. I find spending time getting to know people in other countries truly enlightening. Apologies for the lengthiness of my profile but I want you to have a good idea of who I am. If you think we would be a good match please reach out!

  • More details about your skills

I have worked with horses professionally for 3.5 years and have ridden for 12 in the US. In my position as senior staff I performed as well as helped direct and train other staff in turnout, feeding, mucking, grooming, general barn upkeep, turnouts, minor medical care, and training. With my riding experience I also aided in exercising horses, training, and lessons for other members of staff.

Along with this I was also a household manager for 3 years and nanny for 2 prior. With this I cared for 4 children ending ages 9-17. I was seen as 3rd parent in this position and as such not only cared for the children but also kept the family schedule (doctors appointments, club and sport sign ups, school events, etc), communicated with teachers/tutors/babysitters, made all meals/snacks, kept up with household work/helped direct the housekeeper (laundry, cleaning, repairs, new decor as needed, organization of closets/basement/attic/kids room, decoration of the house for holidays/birthdays, etc), kept track of children’s needs and bought clothes/supplies as necessary, and kept lists for and preformed all grocery shopping and general household errands.

When I need a bit of down time I love to cook/bake, read (have a kindle with hundreds of books for travel, research various interest, chat with people on any topic, and play my flute.
