Hello everyone!

I’ve probably written this bio 6 times now and can’t seem to narrow down my passions, but I am almost positive I am in good company among other workawayers. 😅

And like many of you, I’m sure, I absolutely love anything that gets me outdoors (aside from the really long uphill kinda hikes). I’m incredibly interested in learning about gardening and growing my own food as well as sustainable living and farming. Basically living out one of my many dreams of owning a cottage with a bunch of ducks running around.

On the other side of the coin, I am a huge summer child. I always have my kayak ready in the back of my car (mostly because I’ve discovered I’m too short to get it off the top) and I’m planning camping trips and lake days. Anything that gets me out on the water, preferably along with a beer, is the way to my heart. I’d love to learn to sail, and though I realize it is very ambitious, it has always been a dream of mine to circumnavigate the world.

I’m deciding this coin that is apparently me is at least triple sided and the third side is creativity driven. My degree is in design-mostly focusing on interiors and graphic, but I am often drawn to anything that allows me to create. I love baking, pottery, gardening, crafting, and so much more. Oh! And feel free to talk my ear off about music, because I could go on for hours.

What I truly want is to be more present in living my life and taking advantage of what the world has to offer, and doing so alongside a community that shares my passions and are driven by learning and sharing. I am just so excited to learn everything I can!

-For the past 3 years I have worked as a Youth Engagement Worker for a local non-profit-creating a safe environment for at-risk and homeless youth. I have a passion for youth and quite a bit of experience working with them.
-I received my Bachelor’s degree in Design and Interior Architecture and absolutely love working on renovation projects and seeing the progress from a good before and after.
-I also have a knack for wedding and event planning, spending time promoting local businesses and events with my local Chamber of Commerce as well as working for wedding venues.
-To help supplement my income, I have spent the past year watching farms- taking care of horses, sheep, goats, chickens, dogs etc. and have loved learning all of the routines that come along with such care.
-In my personal time I enjoy anything that gets me out on the water or helps me live out my outdoorsy/adventurer fantasies!
