Description
Hi! I’m Joseph, a reliable and friendly student from the UK with a passion for learning, travel, and helping others.
I’ve worked in retail, coached juniors and adults as a LTA Level 1 tennis coach, and I’m confident in customer/people-facing roles. I enjoy working with people and contributing wherever I can.
I’ve been lucky enough to have travelled to over seven countries across Europe, Spain being the most recent, where I spent time in Seville and had the opportunity to practice my Spanish! I’m currently learning at home and am at B1/B2 level.
I’m also a keen photographer, with experience shooting events and success in competitions.
In my local neighbourhood I’ve done various gardening and maintenance work. And have not problems with getting my hands dirty!
I manage my time well, balancing work, study, and volunteering. I’m motivated to contribute, learn from others, and be part of something meaningful and impactful. I always aim to bring energy, curiosity, and a strong work ethic wherever I go and am always ready to help however I can!

Languages
Languages spoken
English: Fluent
Spanish: IntermediateMore details about my language interests
I have a strong interest in languages and communication. I come from a monolingual household where only English is spoken, so learning Spanish was something I took on myself. I started learning at home, then pushed myself to go out and meet people so I could practise speaking in real conversations. That process has made me more confident and comfortable talking to different people. I enjoy learning how languages work and how people from different cultures express themselves. I got an A* in Spanish at school and I’m still improving by practising regularly. I’m keen to keep developing my Spanish and use it in real situations, whether that’s helping others with English or communicating day to day in Spanish. -

More details about your skills
I am a strong communicator and confident working with people of different ages and backgrounds. I achieved A*s in both English and Spanish at school, so I can help with learning English and also communicate well in Spanish in day to day situations.
For the past two years I have worked as a tennis coach, teaching children from age 4 and up. This has helped me develop patience, clear communication, and the ability to explain things in a simple and practical way. I enjoy working with children and helping them improve.
I am physically fit and happy to take on hands on work. I enjoy being outdoors and I am used to tasks like gardening and general maintenance. I have also helped with DIY projects at home, so I am comfortable using basic tools and getting involved where needed.
I am reliable, hardworking, and always willing to learn new skills and help wherever I can.
I also worked at a bakery (Greggs) in my local town for 18 months.

In my free time I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors. I play tennis regularly and being a coach has made it something I take seriously as well as enjoy. I like staying physically active and challenging myself.

I run my own YouTube channel where I create videos, which has helped me develop creativity, consistency, and confidence in presenting ideas. It also links to my interest in photography and documentary work, where I enjoy capturing real moments and telling stories.
I enjoy meeting new people, experiencing different ways of life, and learning from others. I like getting involved, trying new things, and making the most of new environments. -

I was slightly nervous before going as I wasn't sure how the kids would be to work with but the week truly surpassed all my expectations. From the first moment David and Tiziana were very welcoming and friendly. The other tutors and I got on straight away and went out for beers … read more
